Late-Qīng physician of Húnán; courtesy name 祉庭 Zhǐtíng. Self-described in his preface as a thirty-year student of qíhuáng 岐黃 medicine (i.e. classical Chinese medicine) who came late to laryngology. Author of KR3em032 Báihóu biànzhèng (composition window ca. 1880, Jiāngxī reprint Guāngxù 壬寅 / 1902), a polemical Shānghán-school critique of the cooling-only diphtheria therapy advocated by his Húnán neighbour 張紹修 and propagated in KR3em031 Báihóu jiéyào hébiān. Wáng argues that báihóu is not in itself a 疫 (epidemic disease-category) but a manifestation site for ordinary cold-or-heat imbalance, and that mis-applied cooling is the principal cause of báihóu mortality. No CBDB record; lifedates not recoverable.
