Wáng Dàopíng 王道平 (Tóng-zhì-era physician and editor, fl. mid-nineteenth century), the 1863 redactor and annotator of the Fù Qīngzhǔ nánkē chóngbiān kǎoshì 傅青主男科重編考釋 (KR3er016). Wáng’s editor’s preface, signed Guǐhài qiū 癸亥秋 (= Tóngzhì 2 autumn = 1863), narrates the manuscript’s transmission: it was obtained from the elder Luó Bāngdìng 邦定羅公, who had received it from his family teacher Sūn Yùzhī 孫毓芝 of Shànxī Píngdìngzhōu 平定州, into whose hands it had passed from the Fù family in the early Dàoguāng era. Wáng arranged the work’s printing in conjunction with Luó Bǎohàn, Wáng Zhèngnán, Ān Shūmíng, and Luó Dūnyǒu in the winter of 1863. Wáng’s biographical detail is otherwise unrecovered. CBDB returns multiple homonymous 王道平 entries from the Míng dynasty, none of which corresponds to the 1863 medical editor; the present figure is not in CBDB.
