Wáng Hóng 王鉷
Mid-Táng official and financial administrator (d. 752). Under 玄宗 Xuánzōng, served as Vice Censor-in-Chief (yùshǐ dàifū 御史大夫) and chief revenue minister; one of the most powerful officials of the late Tiānbǎo 天寶 period before his fall. Executed in 752 (Tiānbǎo 11) on the strength of his younger brother Wáng Hàn’s 王銲 implication in a rebellion plot, in which 邢縡 Xíng Zǎi (son of 邢璹 Xíng Shù) was the principal conspirator. Biography in Jiù Tángshū (juan 105) and Xīn Tángshū (juan 134); the latter retains the Wáng Hóng zhuàn 王鉷傳 cited in the Sìkù tiyao of KR1a0006 for its passing notice of the Xíng family.
