Bì Zhòngyóu 畢仲游 (1047–1121), zì Gōngshū 公叔, of Zhèngzhōu 鄭州 Yuánwǔ 原武. Great-grandson of Bì Shìān 畢士安 (chief councillor under Zhēnzōng) and brother of Bì Zhòngyǎn 畢仲衍. With his elder brother Zhòngyǎn, both passed jìnshì; held office through provincial zhōuxiàn posts. Yuányòu 1 (1086) summoned to test at the Xuéshìyuàn, made Jíxián jiàolǐ; promoted to Lìbù lángzhōng. Listed in the Yuányòu dǎngjí (1102), ending career at Xījīng liúsī yùshǐtái tíjǔ Hóngqìnggōng. Author of Xītái jí 西臺集 KR4d0115 originally in 50 juǎn (per Sòng shǐ Yìwénzhì) but more reliably 20 juǎn (per Cháo Gōngwǔ); Sū Shì recommended him as his self-replacement, praising his learning. His Shàng Sū xuéshì shū warned Sū Shì against the dangers of writing too directly — preserved in this biéjí, a key Sūmén document. Biography: in Sòng shǐ (附 to Bì Shìān biography).
