Bái Yán 白延 (active mid-3rd c.), Cáo-Wèi 曹魏 period Buddhist translator at the Wèi court of Luòyáng. Per the Chū sānzàng jì jí 出三藏記集 (T2145), he was one of the principal Three-Kingdoms-period Northern Chinese translators, contemporary with 支謙 Zhī Qiān in the Wú state. Author of [[KR6f0020|Fó shuō xū lài jīng 佛說須賴經]] (T0328) — the earliest Chinese version of the Surata-paripṛcchā — and several other shorter Mahāyāna translations. Birth and death dates not preserved.
