Early-Míng Imperial Physician (Tàiyī yuàn yùyī 太醫院御醫) of Sūzhōu; documented at the Yǒnglè / Hóngxī / Xuāndé court of Míng Chéngzǔ and his successors. Early in his career he had retired to the Dòngtíng 洞庭 lakeside region near Sūzhōu for study; called to court and rose to become one of the principal early-Míng court physicians. Shèng was associated with the early-Míng court medical-academy curriculum but is not the actual author of the work KR3er105 Yījīng mìzhǐ 醫經秘旨, which was falsely attributed to him in the early-Qīng 18th c. as an editorial extraction from 江之蘭 Jiāng Zhīlán’s 1662 KR3er103 Yījīn yī fá. The Shèng Yín attribution was definitively unmasked by Gāo Sīqián’s 1925 Sānsān yīshū philological investigation. CBDB c_personid 88775.
