Shèng Xīmíng 盛熙明 (號 Xuányī dàorén 玄一道人), Yuán-dynasty literatus and lay Buddhist; lifedates not transmitted; floruit ca. 1323–1363 (the late-Yuán Yīngzōng 英宗 to Shùndì 順帝 reigns). Originally from Qiūcí / Kucha 龜茲 (modern Kuqa, Xīnjiāng), later resident in Yùzhāng 豫章 (Nánchāng, Jiāngxī).

A polymath scholar, “versed in the languages of six countries, possessed of literary attainment, accomplished in calligraphy”; under the YuánYīngzōng he had served at the Bīngbù and the Kuízhānggé 奎章閣 (the imperial calligraphy-and-classical-scholarship academy), and participated in compilation of the 《經世大典》 Jīngshì dàdiǎn. He is recorded as having been retained at court for his polyglot expertise.

In Yuán Zhìzhèng 至正 21 = 1361, on account of illness, he came to Sìmíng 四明 (Níngbō region) and stayed at Pángǔ 磐谷; pilgrim-friends invited him to Mount Pǔtuó’s Cháoyīndòng 潮音洞, where he stayed several months and composed his Buddhist work 《補陀洛迦山傳》 Bǔtuóluòjiāshān zhuàn (KR6r0136, T2101, 1 juan, 7 chapters).

His non-Buddhist works include the 《書法考》 Shūfǎ kǎo (8 juan, in the Sìkùquánshū Wényuāngé recension) and the 《圖畫考》 Túhuà kǎo (7 juan, in the Sìbù cóngkān photographic recension). Per DILA Buddhist Person Authority A001122; CBDB 0108736.
