Lú Nán 盧柟 (d. c. 1560), Shàopián 少楩, of Jùnxiàn 濬縣 (Hénán). A tàixuéshēng (Imperial Academy student) celebrated for his prose talent and personal pride. He offended the local magistrate, who framed him with a perjured murder charge; sentenced to death, he spent several years in prison. Xiè Zhēn 謝榛 (cf. KR4e0216) ran to the capital to declare his innocence; the original magistrate having been dismissed, his replacement Lù Guāngzǔ 陸光祖 overturned the case. The episode is one of the canonical Míng qìyì jiùyuān (chivalric-rescue-of-the-wrongly-accused) stories. His collection is the Mièměng jí KR4e0217 — title from the vinegar-fly image of his self-preface. His sāofù (sorrowful ) were particularly praised by Wáng Shìzhēn. CBDB 34737 has zero markers; catalog meta gives d. ca. 1560.
