Shí Kǎi 石楷 of Dōnghǎi 東海 (a Liányúngǎng 連雲港 / Hǎizhōu 海州 prefectural-name), early-Qīng xuézhě / physician fl. late seventeenth century, principal Kāng-xī-era editor-publisher of 張介賓 Zhāng Jǐngyuè’s KR3eq016 Zhìyí lù 質疑錄 (Kāngxī 26 dīngmǎo = 1687 cut). His preface to the Zhìyí lù indicates his self-positioning as a moderate Jǐng-yuè-school inheritor who valued Zhāng’s late self-revisions as authoritative for the “warming-tonifying” tradition’s mature self-criticism. He further notes a project to print other unpublished Jǐngyuè manuscripts (Zázhèngmó, Shānghán diǎn, Fùrén guī, Chuánzhōng lù, Běncǎo lèikǎo), but the eventual Jǐngyuè quánshū recension supplanted this programme.
