Fú Chángān 福長安 (1760–1817), of the Manchu Plain Yellow Banner Fùchá 富察 family, zì Chéngzhāi 誠齋. Fourth son of Fùhéng 傅恒 (the great Qiánlóng-era Grand Secretary and Junghar campaigner) and younger brother of the celebrated Fúkāngān 福康安. He served in the late Qiánlóng-era court at the highest ranks: Yùqián dàchén 御前大臣, Lǐngshìwèi nèidàchén 領侍衛內大臣, Bīngbù shàngshū 兵部尚書, Hùbù zuǒshìláng 戶部左侍郎 (concurrent), and Nèiwùfǔ dàchén 內務府大臣. With Héshēn 和珅 he was a senior member of the inner Jūnjī chù circle of the late Qiánlóng era and held zǒngcái (chief editorial supervisor) responsibility on the Qīndìng Shèngjīng tōngzhì 欽定盛京通志 (KR2k0040) and other late-Qiánlóng imperial compilations. On Qiánlóng’s death in 1799, he was implicated in the prosecution of Héshēn but ultimately spared by the Jiāqìng emperor and continued in court service in lower-ranking positions; he died in 1817.
