Style-name (字) Tokuhō 特芳 (or sometimes given as Saigen 西源 from his pagoda-cloister); dharma-name Zenketsu 禪傑. Posthumous title Daijaku Jōshō Zenji 大寂常照禪師.
Tonsured under Sekkō at Heibai-in 衡梅院; founder (開山) of Saigen-in 西源院 sub-cloister at Myōshin-ji.
