Qín Zǐchén 秦子忱 (pen name Xuěwù 雪塢; fl. 1798) was a Qīng-dynasty military official (dūkǔn 都閫) stationed at Yǎnjùn 兗郡 (Yǎnzhōu 兗州, Shāndōng province) during the Jiājìng reign. He composed Xù Hónglóumèng 續紅樓夢 in 1798 as a 30-chapter sequel to Hónglóu Mèng 紅樓夢, working in his study, the “Bǎipìxuān” 百甓軒, at the military headquarters. His preface reveals he was part of a literary circle that included the academician Zhèng Shījìng 鄭師靖 (Yàoyuán 藥園) of Dōnglǔ Shūyuàn 東魯書院 and the official Tán Yíng 譚溁.
