Qín Yù 秦焴, late-twelfth-century Southern-Sòng provincial administrator. Temporarily governed Ānlù 安陸 (modern Húběi) in the mid-Chúnxī era. Author of the Chúnxī bǐngwǔ (1186) Jiànkāng 建康 reprint preface to 趙善譽 Zhào Shànyù’s Zhàoshì Yì shuō (KR1a0039), in which he records his thirty-year struggle with the Yì and his eventual breakthrough via the time-and-position hermeneutic principle (one hexagram = one time, one line = one position) imparted by an Yì-scholar friend. The reprint, in a smaller format aimed at student use, was based on a copy sent to him by his Wǔlíng 武陵 friend 畢希簡 Bì Xījiǎn.
