Late-Yuán disciple of Yáng Wéizhēn 楊維楨, self-styled Lóngzhōu shēng 龍洲生. He compiled Yáng’s Fùgǔ shī jí 復古詩集 (KR4d0587) in Zhìzhèng 24 jiǎchén (1364) — sixteen years after Wú Fù 吳復’s earlier Tiěyá gǔ yuèfǔ compilation (KR4d0586) — gathering Yáng’s earlier and later compositions in 200 + 300 = 500 pieces (the present recension has 152, so the text has been substantially abridged in later transmission). His preface positions Yáng as the first poet to revive the gǔ yuèfǔ (since the Yuán Tiānlì era) in concert with Lǐ Jìhé 李季和 (Lǐ Xiàoguāng 李孝光, the Wǔfēng xiānsheng); after Lǐ’s death, the gǔ yuèfǔ tradition was practically a solo Yáng project. Zhāng’s biography is otherwise undocumented. No CBDB match located.
