Tóng Pèi 童佩
Zì Zǐmíng 子鳴. Native of Lóngyóu 龍游 in Qúzhōu 衢州, Zhèjiāng — the same county where Yáng Jiǒng 楊炯 had served his last office as Yíngchuān lìng 盈川令. Late-Míng Lóngqìng 隆慶 / early Wànlì 萬曆 private scholar; a private literatus (no examination distinction recorded), described by his contemporary Huángfǔ Fāng 皇甫汸 as “addicted to reading to the point of pathology” (dàn shūjí, dànjì wéi pǐ 耽書籍淫嗜成癖).
His principal scholarly contribution is the recompilation of the Yíngchuān jí KR4c0004, the surviving corpus of Yáng Jiǒng — undertaken as an act of Lóngyóu hometown commemoration since Yíngchuān was administratively part of Lóngyóu in the late Míng. He worked from the surviving SòngYuán biéjí manuscripts of the corpus, Wén yuàn yīng huá 文苑英華, Yuèfǔ shījí 樂府詩集, and the lèishū. His 10-juǎn recension is the basis of the Sìkù WYG print of the collection. CBDB does not record him.
