第五元先

Dìwǔ Yuánxiān 第五元先

Late Eastern Hàn 東漢 Yì master, surname Dìwǔ 第五 (a rare Hàn surname), personal name Yuánxiān 元先. According to the Hòu Hànshū biography of 鄭玄 Zhèng Xuán, he was Zhèng Xuán’s first teacher in the 京房 Jīng Fáng line of Yì learning, instructing him in his early years before Zhèng moved on to study the Fèi Zhí line with 馬融 Mǎ Róng. No independent work survives.
