Luó Màodēng 羅懋登 (fl. late 16th – early 17th century) is a Míng vernacular fiction author known almost exclusively through his single major work, the Sānbǎo Tàijiān Xīyáng Jì Tōngsú Yǎnyì 三寶太監西洋記通俗演義 KR4k0062, first published in 1597 (Wànlì 25th year). Wilkinson (§54.4.2) identifies him as a “16th/17th century” author and describes the novel as “a late Ming novel based on the exploits of Zhèng Hé.” No independent biographical details are recoverable; his native place, examination history (if any), and death date are unknown.
