Luó Hóngxiān 羅洪先 (1504–1564), Dáfū 達夫, hào Niàn’ān 念菴, posthumous shì Wéngōng 文恭, of Jíshuǐ 吉水 (Jiāngxī). Took the jìnshì in Jiājìng 8 (1529) in the dìyī rén (zhuàngyuán, top-graduate) rank; office reached Zuǒ Chūnfāng zànshàn. Early-Lóng-qìng posthumous elevation to Guānglù sì shǎoqīng. He is one of the principal figures of the Jiāngyòu (Jiāngxī) wing of the Yángmíng (Wáng Shǒurén) school: he never personally met Wáng Shǒurén but studied with Lǐ Zhōng 李中 and indirectly inherited the liángzhī tradition. He afterwards composed the canonical Wáng Shǒurén niánpǔ and styled himself a Wáng disciple. His own doctrine, jìngguān běntǐ (still-observing the original-substance), is a meditative extension of liángzhī doctrine that did not avoid the criticism of rùChán (entering Chán). Beyond his Niànān wénjí KR4e0187, he is the principal author of the Guǎngyútú 廣輿圖 — the most influential atlas of Míng China. Yán Sōng wished to recommend him and could not — a fact praised in the Sìkù tíyào. CBDB 34702.
