Late-Sòng descendant of Hú Mèngyù 胡夢昱 of Jíshuǐ 吉水 (the Sòng Dàlǐ píngshì 大理評事 who in 1225 was demoted and died in exile in Xiàngzhōu 象州 for memorializing on the Jìwáng 濟王 succession affair). Hú Zhīróu’s floruit is fixed by the date of his compilation, Bǎoyòu 4 (1256). He compiled in his father’s defence the Xiàngtái shǒumò 象臺首末 (KR2g0011), gathering the surviving memorials, posthumous rehabilitation papers, exchange-poetry, and commemorative writings — a Sòng family-archive zhuànjì of the Jìwáng affair that the family had begun to recover under Sòng Lǐzōng. No further biographical detail is securely attested.
