Hú Zhì 胡稺 (also written 胡穉; Zhòngrú 仲孺, of Zhúpō 竹坡), Southern-Sòng (active Shàoxī 紹熙 era, c. 1190–1194) literary scholar from Sìmíng 四明. Identified through his preface (dated Shàoxī rénzǐ 紹熙壬子 = 1192) and self-postface (dated Shàoxī gǎiyuán làyuè 紹熙改元臘月 = late 1190) to his Zēngguǎng jiānzhù Jiǎnzhāi shījí 增廣箋註簡齋詩集 KR4d0154 — the standard annotated commentary on the poetry of Chén Yǔyì 陳與義.

Hú’s commentary, composed over several years, is preserved in the SBCK transmission of Chén’s poetry. The Sòng scholar Lóu Yuè 樓鑰 樓鑰 of Sìmíng 四明 supplied a preface dated 1192 (Shàoxī rénzǐ) which praises the work as exceeding the comparable annotation of Du Fu / Su Shi by Zhào Yàncái 趙彥材 in coverage and detail (Chén’s six hundred or so poems being a smaller corpus to handle than the much larger output of Du and Su). Hú’s commentary is the principal Sòng-period scholarly engagement with the Jiāngxī-school’s late-Northern-Sòng / early-Southern-Sòng heir.
