Eikun 英訓 (b. 1476) — Muromachi-period Japanese Buddhist scholar-monk who self-styled “śramaṇa of Sanron-and-Inmyō” (三論兼因明沙門), trained in both the Sanron 三論 (Mādhyamaka) and Inmyō 因明 (Hetuvidyā) curricula. He is known from a colophon to 觀理 (Kanri)‘s Yīnmíng sìzhǒng xiāngwéi sījì (KR6o0014) dated Eishō 永正 10 (1513), in which he records, at age 38, his copy of the manuscript received the prior year from “Heiei” 沙門平榮, prepared as part of his study for the Hokke-e 法華會 debate-ceremony at Kōfuku-ji. His copy is a key link in the medieval transmission line of the sījì: Kanri (original) → Heiei → Eikun (1513) → Ryūkei 隆慶 (Sonkō-in) → Shisei 晋性 (1707).
