Fàn Zhèn 范鎮 (1008–1088), Jǐngrén 景仁, posthumous enfeoffment Duke of Shǔ. Native of Huáyáng 華陽 (Chéngdū, Sìchuān). Jìnshì of Bǎoyuán 1 (1038). Served the courts of Rénzōng, Yīngzōng, Shénzōng and Zhézōng across a long career. The model of Yuányòu-faction principled resignation: when Wáng Ānshí’s Xīníng New Policies were implemented in 1069, Fàn Zhèn — then Hànlín xuéshì and Hùbù shìláng — memorialised in extreme terms against the reform and resigned; recalled briefly under the Yuánfēng reorganisation, he resigned a second time. His final post was Hànlín xuéshì chéngzhǐ; he retired with Yínqīng guānglù dàfū and enfeoffment as Shǔ guógōng. Biography in Sòng shǐ 337. CBDB id 3279 records the lifedates 1008–1088.

Author of the KR3l0034 Dōngzhāi jìshì 東齋記事 (composed in Yuánfēng retirement, originally 12 juàn; banned in the Chóngníng; reconstructed in 6 juàn by the Sìkù compilers from Yǒnglè dàdiǎn); his memorial collection in 30 juàn is partly preserved in Sòng huìyào jígǎo. Also co-author (with Sīmǎ Guāng and others) of the Húzhōu fú and other ritual-music writings.
