Huáyáng shānrén 華陽山人 (“the Mountain-Hermit of Huáyáng”) is the studio-name (hào) of the mid-Qīng physician who taught Zhīyǔ qiáokè 芝嶼樵客, the author of Érkē xǐng 兒科醒 (KR3ej008). Huáyáng wrote the preface to that work, identifying himself only as the author’s teacher (yǔ dìzǐ Zhīyǔ shòu yǔ yì wéi Érkē shū 予弟子芝嶼受予意為兒科書). The personal name has not been securely identified. The hào references Mount Huáyáng 華陽山 (one of several places of that name, including those in Jiāngsū and Sìchuān) but does not by itself permit identification. Mid-Qīng dating from internal evidence of Érkē xǐng.
