Dǒng Sīzhāng 董斯張 (1586–1628), zì Xiázhōu 遐周, was a native of Wūchéng 烏程 (Húzhōu prefecture, Zhèjiāng — the Wúxīng 吳興 of the older toponymy). A late-Míng jūshì 居士 of Buddhist learning and a prolific compiler, he is best known for the 32-juan Wúxīng bèizhì 吳興備志 (KR2k0034) — the comprehensive thematic bèizhì of Húzhōu — and for the Guǎng bówù zhì 廣博物志 (50 juan), a major expansion of Zhāng Huá 張華’s Bówù zhì drawing on more than three thousand earlier sources. He also wrote the 文集 Jìngxiào zhāi gǎo 靜嘯齋稿 / 集 in poetry and prose. He died at age 43 (1628). His circle in Wūchéng included his brothers Dǒng Sīzǐjīng 子京 / 元京 and Dǒng Rénshēng 人生 / 生甫, and the Mǐn 閔 brothers Mǐn Yuánhéng 元衢 (康侯) and Mǐn Yuánjīng 元京 — collaborators in the compilation of the Wúxīng bèizhì.
