Pú Dàoyuán 蒲道源 (1260–1336; catalog meta gives the death year 1366 but CBDB and the Sìkù tíyào together support 1336, age 76 — the catalog meta figure is followed here as a flag for inspection but the inferred 1336 is preferred), Dézhī 得之, hào Shùnzhāi 順齋. Family origins from Qīngshén 青神 in Méizhōu (Sìchuān), relocated to Xìngyuán 興元 (Hànzhōng, Shǎnxī). Initially served as jùn xuézhèng in Xìngyuán; resigned and returned. Recommended in Huángqìng (1312–13) as Guóshǐyuàn biānxiūguān; promoted to Guózǐ bóshì at age 60. After a year, retired again on illness. Ten years later (Tàidìng era) summoned as Shǎnxī rúxué tíjǔ but declined. Lived most of his life xiánjū (retired) — whence the collection title Xiánjū cónggǎo KR4d0507. Huáng Jìn 黃溍’s preface to the collection characterizes the HuángqìngYányòu era as a moment when “the prosperous court-and-pavilion prose was applied to the inner content of xìnglǐ zhī xué” — Pú representing a zhènpǔ (“real and unadorned”) current.
