Late-Qīng polymathic literatus-physician of Yōuxiàn 攸縣 in Húnán (楚攸); zì Nǎiān 乃庵. Active across the Jiāqìng and Dàoguāng reigns; over seventy in 1820 (Chén Zuǒ’s preface) and still publishing in 1823, so born in the late Qiánlóng period. Outside medicine he produced classical commentary (Sì shū shì kǎo huì chāo 四書釋考匯鈔), stone-classic philology (Shí jīng kǎo zhèng 石經考正), and arts-historical works (Lìdài dìwáng shī fù huì jì 歷代帝王詩賦會紀, Lìdài shūhuà zōng lǎn 歷代書畫綜覽). Surviving medical works in the catalog: KR3eb005 Yī huì yuán yào (1823), KR3eb006 Yī xué zhǐ yào (1812), and KR3eh051 Nèishāng jí yào (1823, a combined edition incorporating the earlier Shānghán wēnyì jué yào of 1817 with the new Xūláo shīxuè jí yào).
