Mid-Táng grand councilor and ritual director under Xuánzōng; descendant of the Lánlíng Xiāo lineage, native of Kuàijī (modern Shàoxīng). Qiáofǔ 喬甫; posthumous name Wénxiàn 文獻. Took office through hereditary privilege; rose through the Zhōngshūshěng and Ménxiàshěng under Xuánzōng to become Tóng Zhōngshū Ménxià sānpǐn and Zhōngshū lìng in 729. Distinguished himself as commander of the Héxī campaign against Tibet (727–729) and as a moderating voice on court ritual policy. He was the principal director of compilation of the Dà Táng Kāiyuán Lǐ 大唐開元禮 (KR2m0021), completed in Kāiyuán 20 (732). Eventually retired to Tàizǐ tàishī and died in 749. CBDB confirms 670–749.
