Southern-Sòng paleographer and minor official, Yòngmǐn 用敏, of Qiántáng 錢塘 (modern Hangzhou). fl. Shàoxīng era (1131–62). Held the post Tōngzhí láng and served as Qiāndìng Jiāngjūn jiéduǐ pànguāntīngshì — i.e., a circuit-judicial assistant. His monumental work, the Lìdài zhōngdǐng yíqì kuǎnshì fǎtiē KR1j0030 in 20 juàn, is the most important Southern-Sòng compendium of bronze-vessel inscriptions and a foundational source for the modern study of jīnwén 金文. The work draws on the imperial Bógǔtú and the private Kǎogǔtú but expands the corpus with material from Wéiyáng and other private rubbings, with substantial jiānshì commentary that often corrects the Bógǔtú’s identifications. He also produced a Zhōngdǐng zhuànyùn in 7 juàn (rhymed re-sort of the same data, now lost). The catalog meta gives “12th cent” without precise lifedates; CBDB carries an entry (#52588) without dates. The Shào-xīng-era documentary record of his official career is the only secure dating.
