Sū Shīdàn 蘇師旦 (d. 1207), principal adherent of the Sòng minister 韓侂胄 Hán Tuòzhòu (1152–1207) during the latter’s domination of court politics in the Qìngyuán–Kāixǐ era. Rose through Hán’s patronage to high office; orchestrated the catastrophic Kāixǐ 2 (1206) northern campaign that collapsed with the Jiādìng héyì 嘉定和議 (1208) settlement. With Hán Tuòzhòu’s assassination in 1207 Sū Shīdàn was executed and his clientele purged — among them 易祓 Yì Fú (author of Zhōuyì zǒng yì KR1a0048), promoted to Zuǒsī jiàn by Sū Shīdàn’s recommendation and demoted to die in exile after Sū’s fall.
