Career. Retired-in-recluse at Chángzhōu (Sūzhōu). In Míng Hóng-wǔ-mid once held office as Yúnnánfǔ xué jiàoshòu 雲南府學教授.

Scholarly distinction. Loved learning; possessed literary skill. Composed the Gǔyè gǎo 鼓枻稿 (separately catalogued in the Sìkù).

Principal contribution. Compiler-editor of his grand-uncle Yú Jí’s Dàoyuán yígǎo 道園遺稿 KR4d0494 — the supplementary collection to the Dàoyuán xuégǔ lù KR4d0493. Gathered 741 gǔlǜ shī (plus appended yuèfǔ) not preserved elsewhere; cut at Zhìzhèng 14 (1354).
