Southern-Sòng chuánjiào 傳教 (doctrinal-preacher) monk styled Jìngān 鏡庵; abbacy at the Wūxū tǎyuàn Jìngān 烏戍墖院鏡庵 (in 紹興 reign, 1131–1162) and afterwards in residence at Fútián Xīhuáyán Lánruò 福田西華嚴蘭若. Author of KR6i0563 Yuánjué jīng lèijiě 圓覺經類解 (X10 no. 252, 4 fascicles), compiled at the commission of the Wúxīng 吳興 layman Shěn Yīngchén 沈應辰 from a Sichuan master Fùān’s 復庵 lecture-notes on the Yuánjué jīng (KR6i0551); and the 《重編諸天傳》 Chóngbiān zhūtiān zhuàn KR6r0171 (X88 no. 1658, 2 juǎn), a re-editing and expansion of an earlier (Northern-Sòng or pre-1162) Tiāntái zhūtiān compilation, completed and prefaced in Qiándào 乾道 9.8 = autumn 1173. His specific lifedates are not preserved; on the basis of his datable activity (1131–1173 attested) his floruit may be set at the mid-12th century, with active years ca. 1130–1180. He is otherwise undocumented in standard Buddhological reference works; biographical data limited to what his own works’ prefaces supply.
