Yuán Huá 袁華 (1316–after 1373), Zǐyīng 子英, native of Kūnshān 崑山 (Sūzhōu prefecture). Birth-date 1316 fixed by his own poem Zèng Mǐn Zhōngfú chūdù shī 贈閔中孚初度詩 citing his birth as Yányòu bǐngchén. Pupil of 楊維楨 Yáng Wéizhēn 楊維楨 — one of the small group whose verse Yáng selected and approved in Zhìzhèng guǐmǎo (1363) for the Kěchuán jí (“collection that can be transmitted”). Lived through the YuánMíng transition: thirty years of Yuán Shùndì-era verse plus mid-Hóngwǔ Míng-era service as Sūzhōu fǔ xué xùndǎo 蘇州府學訓導; arrested in a zuòlèi (implicating-by-association) charge in the Hóng-wǔ-era literati purges and died in Nánjīng. Two collections: KR4e0056 Gēngxuézhāi shījí 耕學齋詩集 (twelve juǎn, full collection of over 1,000 poems) and KR4e0057 Kěchuán jí 可傳集 (Yáng Wéizhēn’s strict selection). CBDB id 33392: b. 1316, fl. 1370.
