Guānrú 觀如
A late-Qīng Pure Land monk active at the Yángzhōu Cángjīngyuàn 揚州藏經院 (the Sūtra-Repository Cloister of Yángzhōu) during the Guāngxù 光緒 reign. Author of the 《蓮修必讀》 Liánxiū bì dú KR6p0132 (X1214), a Pure Land devotional verse-and-gāthā anthology dated by his own preface to Guāngxù bǐngxū (= 12 August 1886). The work is a verse-and-gāthā counterpart to 古崑 Gǔkūn’s prose-oriented Liánzōng bì dú KR6p0116 (X1197), and represents the late-Qīng Yángzhōu regional Pure Land community parallel to Gǔkūn’s Hangzhou tradition.
