Xǔ Chóngyán 許重炎, late-Kāngxī-to-Yōngzhèng-era Lǐxué disciple of 潘天成 Pān Tiānchéng (1654–1727), editor and compiler of the Tiělú jí 鐵廬集 (KR4f0036) — Pān’s collected works in 3 juan plus 2 wàijí juan. The Sìkù tíyào records that Xǔ supplied the opening short biography (xiǎo zhuàn) and chronological biography (niánpǔ), recorded Pān’s yǔlù (recorded sayings) in juan 3 jointly with Jiǎng Shīhán 蔣師韓, and produced the structural arrangement. No CBDB record. Xǔ is otherwise a minor figure attested only through this editorial work and the PānXǔ discipleship documented in the Tiělú jí front-matter.
