Yuán-dynasty poet, self-identified as a native of Jīnlíng 金陵 (Nánjīng). His exact lifedates are unknown; the Sìkù tíyào notes that his start and end are unrecorded and that he is conventionally classified as a Yuán figure on the strength of Gù Sìlì’s 顧嗣立 Yuán bǎijiā shīxuǎn having placed him in the final (戊) collection. He is remembered solely for his Yǒngwù shī 詠物詩 (KR4d0546), a sequence of 106 七言律詩 (seven-character regulated quatrains) each on a single object, often a contrived or unusual one (e.g. Shuì yàn “sleeping swallow”, Yàn zì “wild-geese characters”, Yīng suō “oriole shuttle”). The set was widely circulated in the Míng period and is cited approvingly by Qú Yòu’s 瞿祐 Guītián shīhuà despite its uneven quality.
