Xiè Wéixīn 謝維新 (fl. mid-13th c.), zì Qùjiù 去咎, native of Jiànān 建安 (modern Fújiàn). Late-Southern-Sòng Jiāoxiáng jìnshì 膠庠進士 — i.e. a graduate of the Imperial University (Tàixué) who had not advanced through the regular jìnshì examination. His career is otherwise unrecorded. His one surviving work is the Gǔjīn hébì shìlèi bèiyào 古今合璧事類備要 (KR3k0030), one of the largest late-Southern-Sòng fāngběn compendia, commissioned by his friend Liú Déhēng 劉德亨 and published in five jí (366 juan total) culminating in the Bǎoyòu dīngsì (1257) printing. He was clearly a working professional compiler within the Jiànyáng / Jiànān commercial publishing tradition.
