Hùfǎ 護法 (Sanskrit Dharmapāla, c. 530–561) was a sixth-century Indian Yogācāra master and abbot of Nālandā. His doctrinal positions on consciousness-only (vijñaptimātra) and the eight-consciousnesses system became foundational for the Chinese Fǎxiàng 法相 school transmitted through 玄奘 Xuánzàng and 窺基 Kuījī.
