Northern-Sòng 北宋 Daoist scholar, zì Hóng jǔ 鴻舉. Active 1078–1094 (the Yuán fēng 元豐 and Yuán yòu 元祐 eras). Author of several Daozang works including:

Yóu lóng zhuàn 猶龍傳 (DZ 774) — a Lǎozǐ hagiography in six juàn, one of the most elaborate medieval Chinese treatments of the Lǎozǐ legend. Still extant.

Gāo dào zhuàn 高道傳 — a hagiographical collection of famous Daoists; preserved only in fragments (in DZ 783 Zhèng tǒng dào zàng mù lù).
Affiliation. Jiǎ Shànxiáng was apparently a Daoist cleric or lay Daoist scholar, active at the Northern-Sòng court in the late Shénzōng 神宗 and early Zhézōng 哲宗 eras. No precise biographical details are recorded.
