Zhào Yīqīng 趙一清 (1710–1764), zì Chéngfū 誠夫, hào Dōngqián 東潛, of Rénhé 仁和 (Hángzhōu, Zhèjiāng), was a major Qián-Jiā-era kǎojù scholar specializing in historical geography. His principal work is the Shuǐjīng zhù shì (KR2k0060), a 40-juan critical edition of Lì Dàoyuán’s Shuǐjīng zhù with attached 12-juan Kānwù. His work develops Quán Zǔwàng 全祖望’s claim that the Shuǐjīng zhù contains “commentary within commentary” (zhùzhōng zhī zhù), separating the layers typographically, and recovers 21 watercourse entries lost in the Sòng. Zhào Yīqīng’s edition stands at the center of the celebrated QiánJiā plagiarism polemic with Dài Zhèn 戴震’s parallel work for the Sìkù: a controversy that occupied Hú Shì for thirty years. Other works include the Sānguó zhì zhù bǔzhèng 三國志注補正.
