The personal name of the Northern-Sòng emperor Zhào Héng 趙恆 — born Zhào Déchāng 趙德昌 (968–1022; r. 997–1022) — better known by his temple-name Sòng Zhēnzōng 宋真宗. Third son of Sòng Tàizōng 太宗 (r. 976–997), succeeding to the throne on 8 May 997. Zhào Déchāng was the personal name he bore as a prince before his elevation to crown prince and renaming as Zhào Héng. He is celebrated in Daoist history for the spectacular Tiānshū 天書 (“Heavenly Writs”) episode of 1008, when, claiming the descent of imperial revelation, he proclaimed the Yùdì 玉帝 (Jade Emperor) as a Sòng dynastic ancestor — the Shèngzǔ 聖祖 — and inaugurated a Daoist–imperial cult that produced the fēngshàn 封禪 sacrifice on Tàishān 泰山 (1008), the imperial Daoist miào 廟 at Bózhōu 亳州, and the great Daoist canon edition (Dà Sòng tiāngōng bǎozàng 大宋天宮寶藏, completed under Zhāng Jūnfáng 張君房). His Daoist-related compositions are preserved especially in the [[KR5a0327|Sòng Zhēnzōng yùzhì Yùjīng jí 宋真宗御製玉京集]] (DZ 315), a six-juan collection of yì 意 (“Intentions”) for memorials presented during Daoist rituals — xiè 謝 (“thanksgivings”), jiāng 將 (“statements”), biǎo 表 (“memorials”).
