Zhào Péngfēi 趙鵬飛, zì Qǐmíng 企明, hào Mùnè 木訥, native of Miánzhōu 綿州 (modern Miányáng 綿陽, Sìchuān). Active in the late Southern Sòng. Lifedates not recorded; the prefatorial poem to his Chūnqiū jīngquán 春秋經筌 is dated by Qīngyáng Mèngyán 青陽夢炎 (a fellow Miánzhōu native) in Xiánchún 8 rénshēn 壬申 (1272), referring to Zhào in the past tense as “Mùnè xiānshēng” and noting his lost Shī gù 詩故 was destroyed in the wars; Zhào’s own activity is therefore datable broadly to the early-to-mid thirteenth century. Mèngyán links his philosophical lineage to the Sìchuān Yīchuān 伊川 transmission via Xiè Chízhèng 謝持正. Beyond the Chūnqiū jīngquán in sixteen juan (the only extant work), the lost Shī gù is mentioned. Two CBDB records (51066, 530639) carry no biographical detail; the Sìkù tíyào notes him only as a Miánzhōu literatus committed to “untraditional” Chūnqiū exegesis.
