Dàozhěng 道整, an Eastern-Jìn monk, was one of the original companions of 法顯 Faxian on his overland pilgrimage to India, setting out from Cháng’ān in Lóng’ān 隆安 3 (399 CE). According to Faxian’s own Fóguó jì 佛國記 (KR2k0136), Dàozhěng decided to remain in India rather than return to China, finding there the monastic life he had long sought. No independent biography survives.
