Dàoróng 道融 (lifedates unknown, fl. late 12th c.), Southern-Sòng Buddhist monk; hào Gǔyuè 古月 (“Ancient Moon”). According to the prefatory and postface materials of his work, he retired in middle life to the foot of Zhōngfēng 中峰 in Dānqiū 丹丘 (modern Tàizhōu 台州 region of Zhèjiāng), there compiling the 《叢林盛事》 Cónglín shèngshì (KR6r0094, X86 no. 1611, 2 juan), an anecdote-anthology of the “flourishing affairs of the great monasteries” (cónglín 叢林 = the official Chán-school sammgha-houses) of the Northern and Southern Sòng. The author’s preface is dated Qìngyuán 慶元 3 (1197). Per DILA Buddhist Person Authority A001556.
