Guō Yǔndǎo 郭允蹈, of Zīzhōu 資州 (modern central Sichuan), Southern Sòng. Floruit Duānpíng 端平 era (1234–1236), under Lǐzōng 理宗. Known almost exclusively as the actual compiler of the Shǔ jiàn 蜀鑑 in 10 juǎn (KR2c0005), which traditionally circulates under the name of Lǐ Wénzǐ 李文子 — Wénzǐ’s preface of Duānpíng 3 (1236) himself acknowledges Guō Yǔndǎo as the author who “compiled it into one collection” (chóu wéi yī biān 緝為一編), Wénzǐ having only directed the project. The book is a topical history of Shǔ from the Qín conquest of Nánzhèng to the Sòng pacification of Mèng Chǎng 孟昶 (964), composed in jìshì běnmò form and chiefly concerned with strategy, terrain, and the defence of the Yángzǐ heartland.
