Guō Xūn 郭勛 (c. 1475–1542), the 6th Marquis of Wǔdìng 武定侯, hereditary noble of Fèngyáng 鳳陽 (a descendant of Míng founding marshal Guō Yīng 郭英). Took up the marquisate in Hóngzhì 17 / 1504; promoted to the Jìguógōng 翊國公 hereditary title under Jiājīng. A major figure in Jiājīng-era literary and dramatic culture, despite his nobiliary rather than scholarly status: he was the patron-publisher of the great Míng-era reissues of vernacular fiction (including a key recension of the Shuǐhǔ zhuàn 水滸傳, often called the Guō Xūn běn), of the SānSuì píngyāo zhuàn 三遂平妖傳, and of the Yōngxī yuèfǔ KR4j0068 in 20 juǎn — the principal sǎnqǔ / xìqǔ anthology of the Míng. Implicated in factional struggles around the Dàlǐ yì 大禮議, eventually disgraced and died in prison in 1542. CBDB id 130180 with no recorded dates.
