Qián Yuánchāng 錢元昌 (b. 1676), a Chángshú 常熟 (Sūzhōu) native, was a Kāngxī 60 (1721) jìnshì. He served as the principal biānzuǎn 編纂 of the Yōngzhèng-era Guǎngxī tōngzhì (KR2k0054) of 1733 under the supervision of Governor 金鉷. His official career included service as a county magistrate in Guǎngxī, where he gathered direct field knowledge of the gǎitǔ guīliú reforms whose documentation is the principal scholarly contribution of the gazetteer.
