Qián Déhóng 錢德洪 (1496–1574), zì Hóngfǔ 洪甫, hào Xùshān 緒山, of Yúyáo 餘姚 (Shàoxīng, Zhèjiāng). Yáng-míng-school principal compiler. Disciple of Wáng Shǒurén (王守仁) from Jiājìng 4 (1525); together with Wáng Jī 王畿 the jiàoshòu shīshuō (transmission-teacher of the teacher’s words). Famous co-participant with Wáng Jī in the Tiānquán zhèngdào 天泉證道 — the Sìjùjiào (Four-Sentence-Teaching) verification dialogue on the eve of Yángmíng’s last Guǎngxī campaign (1527). Principal compiler of his teacher’s yǔlù — the Chuánxí lù 傳習錄 (KR3a) — and of his teacher’s Niánpǔ 年譜 (chronological biography) and collected works (Wáng Wénchéng quánshū KR4e0157 — with Xiè Tíngjié as editor). Hóngzhì 12 / jǐwèi (?wrong era) — Jiājìng 11 / rénchén (1532) jìnshì; reached Xíngbù lángzhōng; on the Dàlǐyì Guō Xūn incident was implicated and demoted; thereafter dedicated himself to lectures.
