Qián Bāngyàn 錢邦彥 — credited in the Kanripo catalog meta as 撰坿錄 (writer of supplementary records / annotations) on Gù Yánwǔ’s Tiānxià jùnguó lìbìng shū 天下郡國利病書 (KR2k0037). His exact identity and lifedates are uncertain. CBDB has four entries under this name: a Qīng-era figure (c_personid 86495, 1848–1914) too late to be Gù’s annotator; a Míng-era figure (c_personid 133102, b. 1501) probably too early; and two further Míng / Qīng entries with no recorded dates (c_personid 226014, 530931). The SBCK biānyìn lìyán itself discusses the difficulty of separating annotator-additions from Gù’s own hand on the autograph manuscript (“校注之字…其爲亭林手書與否任人以字蹟辨之”). The most plausible inference is that Qián Bāngyàn was a late-Míng or early-Qīng figure of Gù’s circle, perhaps connected with the Kūnshān or Sūzhōu literati; a definitive identification has not been made in the modern scholarly literature consulted.

A Qīng-era homonym Qián Bāngyàn 錢邦彥 (1848–1914), known from the Qīngdài rénwù shēngzú niánbiǎo (CBDB c_personid 86495), is unrelated to the Lìbìng shū annotator and belongs to the late Qīng / early Republican period.
