Chén Zhòngyuǎn 陳仲遠 (fl. mid-late 18th century), Daoist priest (yǔkè 羽客) of Yúnfēng 雲峯 in Wǔyáng 武陽 (Sìchuān). Compiler-editor of two important DZJY items: KR5i0094 Yǎ yí jí (preface dated 1779 by Zhāng Xiǎn) and KR5i0106 Qīng xuán jì liàn tiě guàn hú shí (= the Guǎng chéng yí zhì tiě guàn hú shí quán jí) — i.e., the standard liturgical compendium for the jì liàn 濟煉 (salvation-refinement) ritual of feeding-the-hungry-ghosts in the Guǎng chéng yí zhì codification of late-imperial Sìchuān Daoism. Chén’s editorial work is the principal Sìchuān contribution to the post-1809 DZJY supplement, and represents the active cónglín practice of Sìchuān Lóngmén Daoism in the late-Qián-lóng era. Standard reference: Olles, Ritual Words (Harrassowitz 2013) on Sìchuān late-imperial Daoist ritual texts.
