Chén Shǒuzhēn 陳守真, Republican-period paediatrician of Mǐnhóu 閩侯 (Fújiàn), active in Hànkǒu 漢口 (Wǔhàn). Author of Érkē cuìjīng 兒科萃精 (KR3ej012), an eight-juan paediatric textbook completed in October 1929 (民國十八年十月) at his medical office in the French Concession of Hànkǒu (漢口法租界三德里之醫室), prefaced in December 1929 by Lǐ Bórén 李博仁, then Hànkǒu tèbiéshì wèishēngjú zhǎng 漢口特別市衛生局長 (Director of the Hànkǒu Special Municipality Public Health Bureau). His preface frames the work as a popular-pedagogical paediatric reference; he criticises both gǔfāng pài 古方派 antiquarian rigidity and contemporary qiáng 剽 (plagiaristic) practice.
